About

I am a native Chinese speaker currently residing in northern New Jersey, U.S.A.. Growing up in mainland China, my Chinese learning was rigorous; every day there was Chinese homework that involved handwriting two to four pages of new words, approximately 150 to 400 Chinese characters; additionally, we had to make sentences with new words, writing assays once a week, recite text and ancient poems.

I completed my college in China, and later on came to United States to obtain my master’s degree. My two kids were born in the States, while teaching them Chinese at home, I developed a passion for sharing my knowledge of Chinese language with other people. I want my blog to be a fun reading for you to increase your Chinese vocabulary; spark your interest in Chinese culture; and provide some guidance to your Chinese learning.

Various aspects of Chinese language such as characters, words, phrases and idioms are discussed in my blog.

Enjoy!
